Overview
Malindo is Germany's leading reverse logistics and returns management company, specializing in processing returned products and reintroducing them into the circular economy. With over 14,000 square meters of logistics space in Ludwigsfelde and a team of 50+ experts, they handle returns for major retailers and brands across Europe.
The Challenge
Malindo needed a unified multi-channel e-commerce platform to efficiently list and sell over 1 million returned products annually across multiple marketplaces. Their existing manual processes were time-consuming, error-prone, and couldn't scale with their growing volume. They required seamless integration with shipping providers DHL and GLS, real-time inventory synchronization across Shopify, Amazon, and eBay, and a robust backend to handle their proprietary 'reboto' tracking system.
Our Solution
We built a comprehensive multi-channel e-commerce platform using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL that integrates seamlessly with Shopify for their branded storefront, Amazon Seller Central, and eBay. The system features automated product listing with AI-assisted categorization, real-time inventory sync across all channels, integrated shipping label generation for DHL and GLS, and a custom dashboard for tracking products through the entire return-to-resale lifecycle.
